Ordinarily, the schedule for games joining the Xbox Game Pass is quite straightforward, with the Redmond company making two regular announcements per month to present the upcoming titles for each fortnight. However, it's summer, which means the pace adapts to vacations and other summer uncertainties. Proof of this is that instead of communicating about the second half of July, Microsoft only provided the schedule for the week of July 17. And for good reason, there was then a short break of about fifteen days. Rest assured, the catalog will once again expand at the beginning of August 2024.

Creatures of Ava
Generally, when you have a game with monsters, either you have to capture them, or you have to shoot them. With Creatures of Ava, Inverge Studios wants to bring a bit more humanity to players. In fact, the title asks you to save creatures from the clutches of an unknown infection making them aggressive. You will play as Vic, a 22-year-old adventurer, who will try to protect Ava's ecosystems. Therefore, you will need to connect with the fauna to preserve it. This will allow you to benefit from the skills of certain beings and thus push exploration. The good news is that this game co-created with Rhianna Pratchett (Mirror’s Edge) is being added this Wednesday, August 7, to the Game Pass, allowing subscribers to play it on PC, Xbox Series X|S, or even via the Cloud with the Ultimate subscription.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
1996… The first PlayStation… Naughty Dog releases a platform game that will become cult. Its name? Crash Bandicoot. The marsupial becomes a true mascot of the brand, especially with the two sequels that followed, namely Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and the famous Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. Needless to say, the pleasure was there when we discovered in 2018 a trilogy by Vicarious Visions bringing together the remakes of these three installments. If you haven't yet explored this love letter to the franchise, then starting August 8, you will have no excuse not to dive in. Indeed, it is on this date that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will join the Game Pass. Once again, it will be playable on PC, Console, and via the Cloud.
Mafia: Definitive Edition
It was in 2002, 22 years ago now, that Illusion Softworks made a lasting impression with Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. We dive into 1930s America to discover the world of organized crime, particularly through Tommy Angelo, a taxi driver. He unwillingly joins the Mafia. In 2020, Hangar 13 gave the title a real facelift with a remake that offers much more modern visuals, in addition to a complete overhaul of the shooting and driving phases. Again, if you haven't yet succumbed to the sirens to discover it, this will be the opportunity. Mafia: Definitive Edition will join Game Pass (PC, Cloud, Xbox) on August 13.
