The back-and-forth between July vacationers and August vacationers is now over, everyone is either at home or at their vacation spot. The great thing about Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is that you can enjoy the available catalog wherever you are, thanks to the ability to play on PC, Xbox, and via the Cloud. In fact, the end of July wave having passed, it is time for Microsoft to unveil the four new entries planned for the beginning of August. As a bonus, four titles already present in the Ultimate offer also join the Standard subscription.

Four more titles for the Standard offer
The Xbox Game Pass Standard subscription is a good economical alternative to enjoy hundreds of games for less than 13€ per month. Of course, the catalog is not quite as extensive as that of the Game Pass Ultimate offer, but Microsoft takes care of all subscribers and regularly adds new titles. Proof of this, as of August 6, four titles will join the Standard offer for players on Xbox Series X|S.
The first is Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, a narrative RPG. Immersed in a science fiction universe, you will have to fulfill contracts by playing an amnesiac android. The second is Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders. This sequel to Lonely Mountains: Downhill promises a memorable experience. Put on your skis and hit the slopes. As a bonus, the title is playable online with up to 8 players. The third, MechWarrior 5: Clans, offers a radically different experience. This time, you play as the pilots of the Smoke Jaguar. With five mechas in your squad, you must do everything to stop the invasion of the Inner Sphere Clans. Finally, the fourth and last addition is none other than Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap. Whether solo or with up to four players, your goal remains the same: repel hordes of orcs in a fast-paced third-person shooter. To help you in your task, you can place various traps into which the creatures will fall for your greatest pleasure.
Rain World
In 2017, the independent studio Videocult released a platform and survival game with a very distinctive aesthetic. It is called Rain World. Unfortunately, it went somewhat unnoticed. Xbox now gives you a chance to discover the title starting today on PC, Xbox, and via the Cloud thanks to its addition to the Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Standard Game Pass offers. Needless to say, you really have no excuse not to try it. That being said, you have to play as a slugcat, a sort of cross between a cat and a slug. On paper, it may not sound appealing, but the result is much cuter than you might imagine. Separated from its family after a deluge, it will have to traverse more than 1,600 screens to survive torrential rains, formidable predators, and, of course, find its family. A little bonus, the procedural design makes each game unique.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
With its more concentrated formula, Assassin's Creed Mirage has managed to win over fans from the very beginning. A sort of return to the roots of the franchise, before the highly anticipated arrival of Assassin's Creed Shadows, AC Mirage allowed us to revisit the streets of Baghdad during the 9th century. The opportunity to play as Basim, a future Master Assassin whom we discover as a simple pickpocket. His destiny will quickly change as soon as he embraces a new creed. Ubisoft offers a polished installment that incorporates all the strengths of the franchise, including parkour, assassinations, and stealth. A true homage to the first installment of the series, Assassin's Creed Mirage is one of those games that you must play at least once. It’s convenient that the title will join the PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on August 7, 2025. No reason to miss it during the summer, you can even play it via the Cloud.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite
Those who have been subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass for a while have already been able to enjoy Aliens: Fireteam Elite from Cold Iron Studios. However, to ensure a regular rotation within the catalog, it eventually made way for other titles. If you haven't played it yet, you should know that you can rectify this oversight starting August 12, whether you are subscribed to the Standard Game Pass, PC Game Pass, or Game Pass Ultimate. Of course, this return is not coincidental, just like the date chosen for its reintegration. It aims to promote the broadcast, starting the next day, of the Alien: Earth series on Disney+. Finally, for those who are not familiar with the game, it takes the form of a Left 4 Dead-like set in the Alien universe. More precisely, the events take place 23 years after those of the original trilogy.
9 Kings
To conclude this wave, Microsoft is targeting PC gamers by offering players who are subscribed to the PC Game Pass (or who have access via the Game Pass Ultimate) the opportunity to play the Game Preview version of 9 Kings. After testing your reflexes, sense of discretion, or even your team spirit and ability to fight for survival with weapon in hand, the Redmond firm will put your gray matter to use. 9 Kings is a strategic rogue-like by Sad Socket that simply requires becoming the King of Kings. Marketed as quite accessible to newcomers, it offers sustained action that mixes elements of tower defense and deck-building. If you feel like diving into frenzied battles, you can always try it starting August 14.
