As always, Xbox takes advantage of the beginning of the month to unveil the list of titles that will join its subscription program during the first fortnight. After a big wave of games at the end of October 2024, notably with a focus on Call of Duty, this month of November starts off with a bang with no less than six games in just a few days, not to mention the addition of the previously mentioned Starcraft games. A seventh name is in the mix to already give a preview of what to expect during the second half of the current month.

Metal Slug Tactics

16 years after the release of Metal Slug 7, the last canonical episode, the franchise is back thanks to DotEmu and the Parisian studio Leikir Studio. Lose your reflexes of rushing in shooting everything that moves without much thought, this spin-off takes the form of a tactical RPG. Even though it encourages movement to echo the run 'n gun DNA of the series, it requires advancing square by square while anticipating the next moves. With its retro look, humor, and various references to the franchise, it aims to be a love letter to the series. It will be available from November 5th on PC, console, and via the Cloud thanks to the PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate.

Go Mecha Ball

This title from Super Rare Games and Whale Peak Games is a little video game UFO. It mixes pinball mechanics with those of twin-stick shooters, all sprinkled with rogue-like elements. In other words, you play as a mecha that must traverse levels shooting everything that moves while quickly moving when it turns into a ball. To get a good idea of what awaits you, it's best to watch the launch trailer. If you're convinced or curious to try it, know that you can enjoy it from November 6th via the Standard Game Pass.

Harold Halibut

The Standard Game Pass formula will be enriched on November 6 with a title that subscribers can discover on Xbox Series X|S. It is an adventure game by Slow Bros. that has the particularity of being hand-made. Players are invited to discover the story of Harold, a young man who assists the chief scientist of a ship that fled Earth to find a habitable planet to preserve the human species. He will meet several quirky characters. Additionally, the game attempts to provide insights on a very contemporary notion: how to 'find one's place'...

The Rewinder

Also on November 6, another game will join the Standard Game Pass. It is The Rewinder, a title that mixes adventure and puzzle. The story is inspired by traditional Chinese folklore. With its minimalist retro look, it requires embodying Yun, a character like no other. He indeed has a very special power. He can communicate with spirits and explore people's memories... But that's not all, as he is also able to alter the past and thus change the course of history.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank

This early November batch continues to benefit subscribers to the Standard Game Pass as the vegetables of Turnip Boy Robs a Bank also join this subscription formula, starting November 6. As quirky as it may seem, Snoozy Kazoo's title requires embodying a Turnip to commit crimes, including a heist that involves exploring the Botanical Bank. Action, humor, strange objects, C4, and more are some of the promises of this action-adventure game with roguelite elements.

Goat Simulator Remastered

Here's an announcement that will drive more than a few people crazy! The ultimate goat simulation is back. This time, it has gone through a rejuvenation process. With this remastered version, sandbox game enthusiasts will be delighted to (re)discover all the possibilities offered by the Coffee Stain Studios title. Enjoy the thrill of taking control of a goat to wreak havoc while playing with the laws of physics. Note that this version includes all the DLCs from the PC version and one DLC from the Mobile version. Cherry on top, the title will be playable from the day of its release (November 7) via PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. In other words, with the latter subscription, you can play it on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and also via the Cloud.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Admittedly, this time we exceed the first fortnight of November a bit... But it's always good to remember that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released on November 19, 2024, and will be included from its release in the PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. The magicians of the Bordeaux-based studio Asobo Studios will attempt a new feat, that of impressing even more than with the previous game in the franchise, which had visually stunned everyone. In addition to that, the title will gain in diversity by allowing you to start your aviation career through dynamically generated missions. The development studio promises to go even higher by offering an even more advanced level of realism.
