Xbox Game Pass - The end of August program, including Gears of War Reloaded

Xbox Game Pass - Le programme de fin août, dont Gears of War Reloaded
XboxAug 19, 20254 min read

In this month of August, Microsoft is pulling out all the stops to satisfy Xbox Game Pass subscribers. After a first wave featuring titles based on popular licenses, including Assassin's Creed Mirage and Aliens: Fireteam Elite, the Redmond firm is adding seven new titles to the offering, including one already present in the Game Pass Ultimate which is also added to the Standard offer. Be prepared for some heavy hitters, notably with Gears of War: Reloaded, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and Persona 4 Golden.

Blacksmith Master

The saying is well known, practice makes perfect. Untitled Studio took it literally and developed a game that simply requires you to become a master blacksmith. Combining simulation and strategy, the title requires managing your medieval forge, from extracting raw materials to selling finished products. Anyone in business will tell you, the key to prosperity is the ability to diversify your activities. So don't be surprised to find yourself forging kitchen utensils, in addition to traditional weapons and other armor. Available since May 15 on PC in Game Preview, the title joins the PC Game Pass today.

Void/Breaker

This August 19, 2025, is dedicated to PC gamers since, in addition to Blacksmith Master, Void/Breaker is joining the PC Game Pass. We change the mood and style to dive into a first-person shooter mixed with roguelite. You won't get bored as the title offers very dynamic shootouts. Players must fight for their survival as they are trapped by a hostile AI. To get out, your best weapon will be your ability to create variants of your firearms with powerful mods.

Goat Simulator Remastered

If the first Goat Simulator was released on April 1, 2014, it's no coincidence. The title doesn't take itself seriously at all, so much so that it could very well pass for an April Fool's joke. And yet, this atypical goat simulation managed to find its audience, to the point of seeing a sequel (Goat Simulator 3, because it skipped 2) but also and especially a remastered version. Even though the game is already available in the Game Pass Ultimate, Microsoft wants to allow everyone to discover it. As a result, from August 20, it will be added to the Standard package. You will have no more reason not to grab life by the horns.

Persona 4 Golden

Persona 4 is a cult title by Atlus that debuted between 2008 (Japan) and 2009 (Europe) on PlayStation 2. A true critical success, it was remastered in 2012 (Japan) for the PlayStation Vita, with a release the following year in Europe. On this occasion, the title was called Persona 4 Golden. Unfortunately, even though the console was a real technological gem, it did not achieve the expected success. To try to reach a wider audience, the studio eventually offered a port on PC in 2020 before releasing it on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in early 2023. Even though the base material is a few years old, the game is so worth playing that Xbox decided to include it in the Game Pass (Standard, PC, and Ultimate) to allow everyone to play it, whether on PC, console, or via the Cloud. This unforgettable adventure is yours from August 20!

Herdling

To add fresh blood to the PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate formulas, Microsoft has ensured that Herdling can be included in these two subscriptions to allow people with a PC, Xbox Series X|S, or who play via the Cloud to enjoy it from the day of release. As a shepherd, you will accompany and guide your most adorable creatures on an alpine expedition. Prepare your hiking boots, the call of the mountain will be heard from August 21.

Gears of War: Reloaded

When we think of the Xbox brand, three licenses inevitably come to mind: Forza Motorsport, Halo, and Gears of War. Precisely, to perpetuate the legacy of the first installment of the latter over the years since 2006, the title has been remastered for each new generation of Xbox. Thus, the Xbox One received the Gears of War Ultimate Edition, and the Xbox Series has Gears of War: Reloaded. More than just a reissue, this version for the latest generation of machines runs in 4K at 60 frames per second during the Campaign and in 4K at 120 frames per second in multiplayer. The developers have reworked several renders to take advantage of the power of the Unreal Engine. Of course, Reloaded includes all the original content, as well as all content deployed after the launch of the original game. Needless to say, it will be chainsawing from August 26 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and via the Cloud, especially since the game will be added Day One in the PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

To end the month, starting August 28, people who subscribe to EA Play, Electronic Arts' subscription service, can dive into the latest game in the Dragon Age franchise. Named Dragon Age: The Veilguard, it presents itself as a fairly classic role-playing game with an immersive single-player campaign. The goal? As always: save the world! Since EA Play is included in the PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate, all holders of one of these two plans can enjoy it on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and via the Cloud.
