The second part of June is synonymous with the beginning of summer. To ensure that everyone finds a controller in their hands, Xbox has planned a big program for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. No less than 9 games will arrive in the subscription service, in addition to two others that will be accessible to subscribers of the Standard plan. The selection is much more significant and varied than last year's. Let's take stock.
Xbox®
Two more titles move from the Ultimate offer to the Standard offer
Starting tomorrow, people subscribed to the Standard Game Pass offer will be able to enjoy Star Trucker on Xbox Series X|S and Wildfrost on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The first requires taking the controls of an interstellar truck to ensure extraordinary deliveries. The second will activate the gray cells. Indeed, Wildfrost is a strategy game with a roguelike aspect that requires fighting the eternal frost affecting the town of Snowdwell. For this, you need to gather cards, build your deck, and improve it over time by collecting new cards.
Rematch
After the excellent Sifu, the French studio Sloclap tackles another genre. This time, the Parisian developers offer a football game that radically changes from the philosophies developed by EA Sports (ex-FIFA, EA Sports FC) or Konami (ex-PES, eFootball). The title is specially designed for online play with matches of 3 vs 3, 4 vs 4, or 5 vs 5. Forget all the things you know, the game rather adapts the recipe of Rocket League by replacing cars with human players. No offside, no fouls, no timeouts, a randomly designated goalkeeper, and a fairly large learning curve, that's what awaits you starting June 19, the official release day. The software will integrate the Game Pass Ultimate and the PC Game Pass.
Volcano Princess
After a sporty touch, Xbox will invite you to test your parenting skills by offering you to discover an RPG that requires preparing your daughter to become a monarch. It is up to the players to help the princess grow and develop a benevolent personality to take care of her future subjects. Be careful, not only will your decisions impact your daughter's future, but they will also affect the fate of the empire. This will be available from June 24, again in the Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass offers.
Against the Storm
At the end of 2023, players on PC were able to discover Against the Storm, a game by Eremite Games, via the PC Game Pass. Starting June 26, those who own an Xbox Series X|S or who enjoy Cloud Gaming will also be able to embark on the adventure thanks to an addition to the Game Pass Ultimate. Get ready to reclaim nature by building a new civilization where humans, lizards, foxes, beavers, and harpies coexist. However, be careful, as this city-builder set in a dark fantasy universe will challenge you with apocalyptic rains.
3 Warcraft games, 3 remasters
June 26 will be a big day for PC gamers as the PC Game Pass will welcome three titles... And not just any titles. Warcraft I: Remastered, Warcraft II: Remastered, and Warcraft III: Reforged will be added to the PC Game Pass (and accessible via the Game Pass Ultimate subscription). This will be an opportunity to (re)discover these three mythical games, each benefiting from a remastered version offering a true graphical overhaul, a revised interface, modernized controls, and even some additional features. If you haven't yet played any of these three titles, or all of them, you will have no excuse not to do so.
Call of Duty: WWII
Since Microsoft acquired Activision, the Redmond firm occasionally adds games from the publisher's catalog. The latter is particularly famous for the Call of Duty franchise. Starting June 30, all players subscribed to the Game Pass Standard, PC Game Pass, or Game Pass Ultimate will be able to (re)discover the WWII installment. After several years of offering participation in modern wars, Activision had asked Sledgehammer Games to ensure a return to roots with an installment whose story takes place during World War II. Forget the jetpack, weapon assists, slides, and reconnect with gameplay closer to what older players experienced several years ago.
Little Nightmares II
Released four years ago, Little Nightmares II is a horror adventure game that combines platforming and puzzles. Mono teams up with Six, the character from the first game, to try to uncover the secrets of Pale City while trying to survive certain horrors. This gem from Tarsier Studios will be (re)discovered starting July 1 thanks to the Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Standard offers.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
In 2013, Crystal Dynamics relaunched the Tomb Raider franchise with a reboot that emphasized action. Two years later, Lara Croft embarked on a new adventure in a sequel called Rise of the Tomb Raider. Even though the game is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, some people may not have played it yet, even though it has already been available in the Game Pass catalog. Therefore, Xbox will give you the opportunity to play as Lara Croft starting July 1st. Once again, subscribers to the Standard, PC Game Pass, and Ultimate offers will be served.
