On February 14, 2025, it was the second date, after November 15, 2024, that had been selected for the official release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows… At least before Ubisoft was forced to reschedule the release to March 20 to give the teams a little more time to refine the game. In the absence of being able to play it right now, players can discover a new video focused on the PC version.
The PC, the platform with multiple settings
Developing a game intended to be played on PC is always a delicate exercise since all the configurations that can exist must be taken into account. Of course, developers provide some guidance to players by communicating the minimum and recommended specifications, in addition to those that allow enjoying the game with more ease.
In this case, to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you must at least have a computer with an Intel Core i7 8700k or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 accompanied by a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB, an AMD Radeon RX 5700 8 GB, or an Intel Arc A580 8 GB. This is what will allow you to enjoy it at 30 frames per second in 1080p with the lowest settings. If you wish to fully enjoy the title, playing in 4K at 60 frames per second with Ultra visual settings and maximum ray tracing, you should opt for an Intel Core i7 13700k or an AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3D coupled with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB. All configurations are listed on the publisher's official website.

To showcase the work done on this PC version, and by extension the new version of the in-house Anvil engine, Ubisoft has released a trailer of nearly two minutes highlighting all its advantages, starting with performance optimization for Intel Core Ultra processors and improved Intel XESS 2 compatibility with the help of artificial intelligence. Ubisoft also takes the opportunity to point out that the frame rate is not limited and that the software is compatible with ultra-wide screens. It's also an opportunity to get a glimpse of the differences between Low, High, and Ultra settings.
Finally, the developers focus on some of the game's strengths, such as the presence of dynamic seasons that will change the way the environment is approached, while enjoying settings that will evolve throughout the game. AC Shadows will also allow the destruction of environmental elements and will introduce a dynamic wind with a beautiful effect, carrying several particles with it. All this will be available from March 20, 2025, knowing that a collector's edition will also be part of the offering.
