To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Xbox teams up with Fanta to sell bottles and cans inspired by famous franchises. World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Halo, Forza Horizon 6, and Diablo IV will be in the spotlight. You can find them on the shelves of your usual retailers starting April 6. The bonus is that QR codes have been added to collect in-game rewards and try to win prizes.
A license, a taste
On November 15, 2001, Microsoft shook up the console market by releasing a new machine called Xbox. Since then, the Redmond company has come a long way, developing its strong licenses, such as Halo, and acquiring studios like Activision / Blizzard, which has allowed it to get hold of prestigious licenses, including World of Warcraft and Call of Duty. At the end of this year, the Xbox division will celebrate its 25 years of existence. To immerse everyone in the festive spirit of the event, it collaborated with Fanta to develop a special collection of bottles and cans in the colors of the game. This follows a recent collaboration with Pringles (the chip brand).
Starting April 6, you will get more than just a simple bottle or can of Fanta. You can own a somewhat collector's item that can proudly sit in your collection once emptied of its contents. Even though availability and products may vary from market to market, it is noted that each license is associated with a taste. Thus, fans of orange will head towards the Ghost visual of Call of Duty, while fans of Master Chief (Halo) will take the pineapple flavor. Grape will be associated with Forza Horizon 6 and strawberry with World of Warcraft. Finally, this collaboration also introduces a brand new flavor for those who enjoy cherry, namely tart crimson cherry. This one is linked to Diablo IV.
Beyond the collector's item, these bottles and cans will mainly allow you to collect QR codes giving access to three challenges: Extract the Cargo, Survive the Sweep, and Shatter the Spell. By participating, you can try to win several prizes, including an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription (only for new registrants), a controller, a ROG Xbox Ally, or even an Xbox Series S with 1 TB of storage. The choice of drink will not be trivial as it will also give access to in-game rewards. Here is the list:
- Halo: Campaign Evolved – The Master Chief’s Fantastic Spartan Armor [Redeemable beginning at launch]
- World of Warcraft – Fantastical Goblin Waveshredder Mount and more WoW rewards
- Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 – Tactical Orange Calling Card and 1-Hour 2XP Level Token
- Diablo IV – Citron Whirl Town Portal
- Forza Horizon 6 – 1966 Toyota Sports 800 Fanta Edition [Redeemable beginning at launch]
