Season 2 Reloaded for Call of Duty MWIII and Warzone

MWIII S2R
Call of DutyMar 9, 20244 min read

Last month, Activision introduced Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone, providing all the details of the content that had just been released and those to come during the season. Now that we have reached the mid-season point, it is time for the developers to add some rounds to the magazine by deploying new content as part of Season 2 Reloaded. It's an opportunity for your dear Quill to review the new features, including the arrival of the Das Haus map and the integration of the Juggermosh mode.

Das Haus, the training center is back

Das Haus is a compact map that first appeared in Call of Duty: Vanguard. It represents a training center for Special Forces located in an isolated and wooded area in Germany. It returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III in a remastered version that offers height and light. Indeed, the training center has been moved to the top of a skyscraper in the Highrise area. Needless to say, the best defense will probably be offense given the limited spaces.

Two new game modes, including one themed around Warhammer 40,000

You take the rules of Team Deathmatch, keep the objective of the number of eliminations to achieve but grant unlimited lives to the players. You add a priority target system in the form of a flag carried by the most deadly person, mix it all together, and you get the Prime mode that has just appeared. Of course, by taking down the priority target, you earn bonus points.

The Juggermosh mode, on the other hand, is a third-person mode variant that allows Juggernauts to face off in Domination and Confirmed Kill modes. Thanks to a partnership with Games Workshop, Call of Duty fans can find content dedicated to Warhammer 40,000. Thus, you have the opportunity to play as an Ultramarine in "Vengeance of Ultramar" armor or a Space Marine in "Wrath of Baal" armor. In both cases, you gain the same abilities as a Mastodon-Scout kill series. The objective is to retrieve a Chainsaw Sword placed in the center of the map. To achieve this, you must defeat opposing members while trying as much as possible to shoot them in the head to deal more damage. If your armor is hit, you can always pick up those of fallen enemies to repair it. Good to note: to enjoy these appearances permanently, you will need to invest in the dedicated pack, otherwise their access will only be temporary, for the duration of the event. If you wish to obtain the Scout Ultramarines and Scout Bloods Angels operator appearances, you must purchase the Tracker Pack: Warhammer 40,000. Other Tracker Packs are also available.

New cards in the Vortex

As expected, two new cards join the supernatural realms of the Vortex. Thus, Tetanus, Sporeyard, and Satan's Quarry are joined by Airbone, the variant of the Terminal map infested with alien-origin pustules, and Skidgrow, the variant of Skidrow that offers a more vegetal version of the map.

Several new features for Zombies mode

The Zombies mode is not forgotten as it also gets some new features. It's time to return to the Dark Aether, guided by Sergei Ravenov, to investigate a new anomaly and fight the forces of Terminus Outcome. If you're up for a challenge, know that Keres, a chemical warfare specialist, awaits you at Killhouse in Orlov Military Base. She won't hesitate to use a poisoned smoke screen and various biochemical weapons to take you down. Needless to say, a gas mask is more than recommended. Finally, three new schemes make their appearance to obtain an economical magazine (allows you to use reserve ammunition without reloading), the Bloodburn Keys (an almost indestructible vehicle), and the V-R11 Wonder Weapon (transforms zombies into allied mercenaries and mercenaries into allied zombies).

A new point of interest in the Warzone

Fortune's Keep is full of surprises. As you look into the distance, a new mobile point of interest has appeared. It is an oceanographic ship that circles the island. While it moves during the first two minutes after the game starts, it eventually anchors at one of the predetermined points. There are several advantages to going there, such as:

  • Accessing a decontamination station similar to the Portable Decontamination Station (an item that emits a cloud of chemicals counteracting the corrosive effects of gas circles benefiting all operators in the area).
  • Spotting enemies after activating the reconnaissance tower.
  • Purchasing unique and exclusive items at the special supply station.
  • Sounding the ship's horn to signal that you have taken it over, or if you want your opponents to know your position.
  • Piloting the helicopter (or another device) on the helipad.
  • Investigating [[CONFIDENTIAL]] and opening [[CONFIDENTIAL]] which contains loot.

Finally, a new killstreak has been added. With Bunker Buster, just take out your binoculars, aim at a building, and watch the chaos generated by a missile that destroys a building causing an explosion over several floors.
