As part of the reinterpretation of the original 1996 Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are doing their best to modernize the experience. This includes using actors to breathe more life into the game's characters. Thus, while we already know that Alix Wilton Regan plays Lara Croft and that it's Adrienne Wilkinson who brings to life Jacqueline Natla, we learn that the famous Larson Conway will be portrayed by Bradley Snedeker.

Lara Croft shines thanks to worthy antagonists

Lara Croft is an iconic heroine, ever since 1996 and the release of the very first installment of the Tomb Raider franchise (in October on Sega Saturn, the following month on PC and the original PlayStation). If it was so successful, it's because it mixed several good ingredients. Of course, everyone remembers the gameplay, Lara's jumps, her adventurous side, the dinosaurs of Peru, the puzzles of ancient Greece, the more pronounced supernatural aspect of Egypt, or even the settings of Atlantis. But what should not be forgotten is that what allows a heroine or hero to shine is a rival worthy of the name.

Fortunately, there are a few in Tomb Raider. In addition to the French archaeologist Pierre Dupont, we find Jacqueline Natla, the main antagonist, and the American mercenary Larson Conway. The latter, hired by the CEO of Natla Technologies, will make a return. To bring him to life in this new vision of the classic, actor Bradley Snedeker has been chosen. For those who may not know him, it should be noted that he has appeared in television series such as Landman, FBI: Most Wanted Criminals, and Two and a Half Men.

Why Bradley Snedeker is an obvious choice to portray Larson Conway

With his deep voice and charisma, he naturally stands out. Jeff Adams, the experience director at Crystal Dynamics, describes him as "quite the showman." He further explains that "when he enters a room, all attention turns to him." Indeed, he "perfectly embodies the rugged and daring side" that defines Larson Conway's personality, as noted by Brendon Bengston (from Crystal Dynamics). He thus resembles a rival who thinks he is on par with Lara Croft, as if he were her male counterpart... Without ever managing to equal her.

Nevertheless, as you can see in the video below, which highlights motion capture scenes, the duo he forms with Alix Wilton Regan draws attention. There is a certain chemistry and a natural ability to improvise scenes thanks to an evident complicity. This is something we will all be able to witness on February 12, 2027, the release date of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis on our PCs, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

While waiting to play it, you can always immerse yourself in the universe of the franchise by opting for clothing from the Tomb Raider collection by Fulllife. For example, let yourself be tempted by the Lost Valley t-shirt, referring to the tyrannosaurus encountered in Peru, the Croft Crest socks, proudly displaying the Croft family crest, or the RX-tech hoodie, a direct reference to the RX-Tech Mines level based in Antarctica in Tomb Raider III.
