Even though Fortnite is still an extremely popular title, just a quick glance in the rearview mirror reminds us that Epic Games' title will soon be 9 years old. While the publisher has multiplied experiences, notably accessible for free like the essential Battle Royale, we must not forget that the very first experience is none other than Save the World, a cooperative mode playable up to four mixing shooting and survival. Launched in early access on July 25, 2017, this game mode was paid, unlike the Battle Royale which emerged in September of the same year. The good news is that you will be able to save the world for free starting April 16.

Fortnite is a multitude of experiences that share the same game engine and similar artistic codes, ranging from the original now ensured by Fortnite OG to the timeless Battle Royale, including Rocket Racing for racing, Fortnite Festival for music, the LEGO part or even Fortnite Ballistic which aims to offer a tactical aspect with 5 vs 5 confrontations. However, before all that, at the very beginning, in July 2017, Epic Games released Fortnite: Save the World in early access. Unlike the Battle Royale which gathers up to 100 people and requires being the last survivor, Save the World involves cooperation.
While a storm has hit Earth, causing hordes of monsters, up to four players must cooperate to exterminate them. In the meantime, survivors must be saved, resources collected, and weapons and forts built. In just over a month, starting April 16, Epic Games will make this Save the World experience free. Thus, even more players will be able to discover it, especially since it will be available on all current platforms, including the Cloud and the Nintendo Switch 2, in addition to PCs, PlayStation, and Xbox.
To echo the cooperation which is the very heart of this mode, the studio calls on the community to pre-register on this page. Thus, all registrations will accumulate to unlock in-game rewards, including a special hero by exceeding one million pre-registered people. To prevent those who invested in Save the World from feeling wronged, the development team will thank them by offering superchargers, vouchers, and gold, starting April 16. Epic Games also specifies that founders will continue to earn V-bucks. To do this, they will simply need to complete daily quests, take on existing challenges, and accept storm shield defense missions.
