Time flies. The tempo hasn't changed, the Fortnite Festival has maintained a good pace with updates and it's already time to celebrate its first anniversary. Of course, this will be done with music. Here's the program!
Free Access and New Features
An anniversary is a big celebration. It's an opportunity to gather people. In this case, Epic Games will invite all players to enjoy the celebration between December 13 and 16. To go all out, the developers will offer free access during this period to over 280 music tracks, and this, for free. You will be able to enjoy the main stage and the Royale stage.
But that's not all, an anniversary means gifts. Harmonix, the development studio in charge of this musical experience, has planned new music tracks in addition to exclusive Platinum Icon packs. Of course, the artists who marked the seasons of this first year are once again in the spotlight. Thus, four music tracks are appearing in the game's store. You can get “Birds of a Feather” by Billie Eilish (star of season 3), “Disease” by Lady Gaga (star of season 2), “One” by Metallica (star group of season 4) or “Dancing in the Flames” by The Weeknd (star of the first season).

A second pack of music tracks has also been added to the store. This one is entirely dedicated to Metallica and it includes the music tracks “One”, “Sad But True”, “Battery”, and “For Whom The Bell Tolls”. As a bonus, you can use all your music tracks in Fortnite lobbies (except for those in Fall Guys) to share them with your friends up to four.
Content Equivalent to a Platinum Record
As for the artists, their digital doubles are back, this time in a platinum version. The uniqueness of these versions of The Weeknd (with the platinum XO axe), Lady Gaga (with her platinum Chromatica Keytar), Billie Eilish (with her platinum flaming Charlestons), and Karol G. (star of season 5 - with her platinum Bichota bass), is that they react to certain music tracks.

Finally, the developers wanted to thank everyone who added their vibe to the experience during this first year. It's an opportunity to indicate that everyone has produced more than a trillion notes on the tracks of 236 artists and improvised 3.6 billion times with improv loops. Of course, the end of 2024 does not mean the end of the experience, quite the opposite. The developers are preparing a "even more memorable" year 2025.
